How to Locate an Asset

Wondering where your asset is? Here's a simple guide to help you find the location of any asset within Connect Intelligent Cloud.

1. Locate the Search Bar

• Navigate to either the Dashboard, Explore, or Devices pages. These pages, located in the menu bar, all offer a search function to aid in locating your assets.

2. Enter The Search Criteria

• In the search bar, type in the name or identifier of the asset you're trying to locate. As you start typing, suggested search options will begin to populate. Pay attention to this, and when your asset or identifier comes up, select it. 

3. Access the Asset's Details

• From the search results, click on the asset's name. This will direct you to a dedicated page for that specific asset. Here, you will see where the asset is located. This may include Position, Status, Sensors and more.

4. View the Asset's Current Location

• On the asset details page, you'll find a map displaying the current location of your asset. This will give you a visual representation of your asset location in real time. Use the plus and minus buttons to zoom in and out to gain context on the asset's whereabouts.

Understanding how to effectively locate assets is crucial to having visibility over your fleet.
